O Allah
In the darkest moments,
Your light shines inside of me
In the coldest of nights
Your warmth fills inside of me
Would the day come...
When in hunger or thirst
Your remembrance would satiate me?
"The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my WalĂ® (Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a Muslim (the one submitting to Your Will), and join me with the righteous." [The Noble Qur'an 12:101]

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem
Unless Allah (swt) bestows some miracle upon you, you'd need food, drink, warm clothes, and a light bulb...
The poem is intended as a measure of closeness to Allah swt and to portray the fact that "Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest" (Surah Ra'd)
If cold, hunger and thurst drive a person to unrest and forgetfulness, then the time has not come when the remembrance of Allah swt would satiate the self. If a person can practice patience to the extent that these things do not distract him/her from the remembrance of Allah swt and s/he can calmly proceed to fulfilling these needs without the least bit of worry, depending solely on Allah swt, then here's a thumbs up mate!
mA, yet another beautiful poem. may in Allah we put our trust :).
